Cube Munster enduro Killaloe

Nothing better then the start to a new season, this year i would start my racing down in killaloe.Co Clare. It was a one day event hosted by Limrick Mountain Bike Club on Sunday the 12th of March, The format for the day was 3 blind stages that could be ridden twice and your best time counts, a format that i think is really interesting and makes things really fun pinning it down unknown trails and expecting the unexpected.

LMBC put together 3 savage trails that where all 100% natural and steep techy but intense all the same. I was feeling great on the bike and i was delighted to take 1st place in Junior men and 21st overall on the day. Onward and upwards

Carrick gravity enduro

Fantastic weekend on the bike on what could be easily the best trails in Ireland, Racing was tough and mistakes where had.
Ended up 8th in our stacked category, with just 35 seconds off the podium and 52nd overall!  Bike was sick rallying it around,
Big Thanks to Al Maxwell and The Bike Rack for all the help this year with it!  The Craic was had with friends all year! #TheBikeRack

Rostrevor Vitus Cup Enduro

One of my favourite places to ride is rostrevor,has some fantastic trails and facilities on offer for mountain bikers!   One of my first ever Enduro Races that I took part in was in Rostrevor back in 2013 when I was on a hardtail,not that long ago! So it would be fun competing again at a different level then I was 2 years ago!

Saturday

Saturday was fantastic, went out with a great crew including the legend that is Dan wolfe! The sun was shining and the trails where great and I was feeling good with the trails!

Sunday

Race day was a bit different with a very foggy damp day to start off with and it definitely had a effect on the natural rooty trails! I wasn't feeling good on the bike,felt stiff and unnatural on the bike which had its negative effects on the trails with many mistakes had! 

Ended up 8th in our super hard category due to the mistakes, sure you live and learn I suppose!

Ballinasteo Gravity Enduro

This will be my second time racing the Gravity Enduro at Ballinasteo woods and to be quite honest I was looking forward to it as the weekend was shaping up well with sunny dry weather for the trails and seeing everyone again!

Saturday

Niall was at it again with creating a system to make sign on as efficient without any que skipper's which created a good positive atmosphere to the start off the weekend and the day!
    Practice went well with all the friends and was pretty happy with how the bike,myself and my lines went and what had to be done for race day

Sunday

Come Race Morning the day was looking a bit dreary and dark but rain seemed to hold off which was a relief for all racer's.....Being seeded from Round 1 i was first off at 9:50am.
I was feeling good out on course while trying to be as consistent and smooth as possible......
     But sometimes feeling fast and good isn't as fast as you should be and it certainly showed when all the riders were in! Everyone has become so fast and standards driven even higher and for that I'll need to raise my game!
I came way with a steady 6th place which I will just have to settle for.

Well done to all the organisers and racer's for a fantastic weekend.

Rd 1 XC NPS Djouce Woods - first Xc podium yeehaww

This weekend saw the first round of the XC NPS Held by Team WORC held in the sick iconic woods that is Djouce woods!
Some day for skidding about on the hardtails on thd Extremely challenging fun course thanks to team WORC!
Happy out with second place in under 16s,my first Xc nps podium!

Round 1 Ticknock Gravity Enduro - first Enduro podium #chuffed

what a sick weekend of biking on the new Transition Patrol. was a wet and challenging weekend for all with lashing rain come race morning for the pros!

The craic was had out there with these two mad ones Alex nowtynskii and Cieran maunsell.

I don't think I can thank Al Maxwell and the lads at The Bike Rack enough for my new Transition Patrol! Its extremely fun and didn't fail to put a smile on my face while up in the ledmines this evening!
