My first IDMS DH race : Carrick woods

My first IDMS ( Irish Downhill mountain bike series) is now under my belt.
It was held at carrick woods and hosted by our club Gravity BC.

Well that's the racing session all wrapped up until next year, completed all the enduros, raced a few xc races and even dipped in to my first IDMS race over the weekend. Can't wait until racing starts back up again

Saturday 

Saturday was practice for the day with uplifts running from 9:30am till 4pm,with a few mechanicals I only managed to get in 4 runs and 2 of which were proper runs. Fantastic day with all the Dh crew and thanks to all who helped to get me back up on the hill after mechanicals.

Sunday

After around two practice runs it was time to head up to seeding which was something new to me,went down anyway and had a nice clean run in which was great fun,with a little brake it was time to head back up for race run.

God race nerves had never been so bad untill those beeps went off...BEEP...BEEP...And off it went I was having a nice run and was really enjoying it and got down with a nice big grin on my face after hitting the step down and a nice run that was good enough for me as my first IDMS DH race om my Enduro bike.
could not have had a better day as the last race of the season...It will be sad to finnish the races now untill next year but cant wait to start back next year and meet all the race heads again.
